Bradley T. Barnes

Born and raised in Ottumwa, Brad Barnes has always been deeply connected to the Southeastern Iowa community he proudly calls home. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial services, Brad is passionate about helping individuals and businesses navigate their financial challenges with confidence.

Brad earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Buena Vista University in 2003 and immediately began his career at a local CPA firm specializing in governmental and non-profit auditing. Over the years, he built extensive experience, serving as the firm’s quality control partner before founding his own practice in 2019. To date, he has led over 250 non-profit and governmental audits, earning a reputation for his thorough approach and trusted expertise. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Brad is a proud member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a 2013 graduate of the Ottumwa Leadership Academy.

Beyond his professional work, Brad is dedicated to giving back to his community. He actively serves on several boards and committees, including the Ottumwa Regional Legacy Foundation and the American Home Finding Association, where he currently serves as president. He’s also an engaged member of the Ottumwa Noon Lions Club, Ottumwa Tennis Club, and Northgate Alliance Church, where he contributes his financial expertise as treasurer.

Outside of the office, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Noelle, and their five children. A former state tennis qualifier, he stays active with his love for the sport and enjoys camping and boating in Southeastern Iowa’s great outdoors.
